Meet Prof.Dr Amr Shawarbi

Prof.Dr Amr Shawarbi is a distinguished German board-certified Neurosurgeon with over 25 years of international experience. Since relocating to the UAE in 2006, he has held prominent positions such as Head of the Neurosurgery Department and Medical Director in several esteemed hospitals. Dr. Amr has significantly contributed to the UAE healthcare sector, leading pioneering initiatives like SEHA’s first stroke program, pediatric neurosurgery, and neuromodulation.

Educated at Alexandria University, Egypt, and trained in Germany, Dr. Amr holds multiple degrees, including an MBBCh, MSc, MD, and PhD in Neurosurgery. He is multilingual, fluent in English and Arabic, which enhances his ability to connect with a diverse patient base. Dr. Amr’s commitment to advancing neurosurgery is evident through his extensive research and numerous publications. He has also presented at various international conferences, sharing his insights and innovations. His leadership roles in the Emirates Neuroscience Society and the World Federation of Neuroscience Societies highlight his dedication to the field.
